Three more of our full members have successfully recredentialed with us recently, demonstrating their continuing expertise in mental health pharmacy.
Dolly Sud, Michele Sie and David Branford are the trio who renewed their credentialed status in the past few weeks.
Dolly Sud is a Pharmacist at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. She values being able to make a difference and to have a positive impact on the lives of service users. She says of being credentialed:
"I very much see this as recognition of education and training and support I have received thus far in my profession and career as a mental health pharmacist. Moreover, it is humbling to be considered a credentialed member when I look at the list of colleagues who are also credentialed."
She is in good company with two former Council members recredentialing this season:
Michele Sie is Chief Pharmacist at the West London Mental Health NHS Trust. As former Registrar of CMHP she has seen the credentialing process from both sides. She says is proud to be credentialed by her peers, recognising her work and contribution to mental health pharmacy.
David Branford is a Member of the English Pharmacy Board, Royal Pharmaceutical Society. He is also a Fellow of CMHP in recognition of his distinguished service in the field. He is a champion of good practice, particularly in the field of learning disabilities and keeps members up-to-date with the latest campaigns, such as the The Stopping Over-Medication of People with a Learning Disability (STOMPLD) campaign.
Assistant Registrar Roz Gittins congratulated the three on their recredentialing success saying: "It was a pleasure to read the submissions of these three pharmacists who each have very different, fascinating and valuable roles."
Credentialing is our process for assessing members' knowledge and experience; it demonstrates that they are experts in the field of mental health pharmacy. Credentialed members are full members of the College and can carry the post-nominals MCMHP. Credentialed members are invited to recredential every five years.
