Hardship fund

In line with our charitable aims, each year we support a limited number of applications to the CMHP hardship fund.

The hardship fund supports those who are in financial distress to become College members, or to access an educational event provided by the CMHP free of charge. All applications to the hardship fund will remain strictly confidential and will only be shared with the hardship fund panel (which is made up of current CMHP Council members).

To qualify for consideration to the hardship funds the candidate must be:

  • a pharmacist, pharmacy technician or student (pharmacist or technician) who is either currently working in the mental health field, has previously worked in mental health or has a proven interest in mental health
  • able to commit to attend the educational event being supported
  • unable to secure funding by other means
  • not in permanent employment (unless in exceptional circumstances).

Current members of the CMHP will be given priority in allocation of hardship funds. We accept applications throughout the year, but the amount of funding available is allocated annually following the call for submissions issued in April.

Once the funding has been exhausted, the fund closes to applicants until the following financial year. We aim to inform applicants of the decision within one month.

If successful, the applicant will receive one free place to a CMHP educational event or one year free membership to the CMHP.

If you are interested in applying to the fund please complete the following application form and send it by email to the CMHP Treasurer as indicated on the form: Hardship-fund-applications-CMHP
