Webinar series

As it was not possible to meet in person for our 2020 annual conference, CMHP hosted its first online event in September of that year.

Next webinar:

  • Cardiometabolic risk, metabolic syndrome, and related diseases in severe mental illness: the role of pharmacy in the lived experience of patients.

Tuesday 26 April, 6-7pm

Dr Dolly Sud, Senior Mental Health Pharmacist/ Postdoctoral Research Fellowwill present the findings of her PhD research for CMHP members:

The research explores the role of pharmacy in the lived experience of patients with SMI who experience excess morbidity and mortality due to CVD, diabetes and related physical health problems. There will be a specific focus on potential changes to clinical practice and policy could facilitate shared physical space and face-to-face interactions between pharmacists and other care professionals and more importantly patients and informal carers. Ultimately, the aim is to encourage person-centred care with the goal of building trusting relationships which is key in this vulnerable population.

This session is for CMHP members. Please register for the event via Eventbrite: CMHP Research Webinar.
