Congratulations to Ciara Ni Dhubhlaing and Nikki Holmes who successfully recredentialed with the College recently! They demonstrated that they continue to be among the leading pharmacists in mental health in the country.
Ciara Ni Dhubhlaing
Ciara Ni Dhubhlaing is Chief Pharmacist at St. Patrick's University Hospital. She continues to serve on CMHP Council, having been President from 2019-2021.
We asked Ciara what she finds most rewarding in her role. She said: “Working on the PICU I have the honour of working alongside service users from their most ill to the pathway to recovery as well as with a committed and caring MDT. As a manager, it is a pleasure to work with colleagues who are hard-working and compassionate and always patient-centred.”
When invited to comment on what being credentialed by the College means to her, Ciara said: “Credentialing with the CMHP remains my most prized achievement. Validation from respected peers and the opportunity to contribute to advancements in mental health care at national and international levels is invaluable.”
Nikki Holmes
Nikki Holmes is Consultant Pharmacist in Mental Health for the Jersey Health and Community Services. She served on CMHP Council for a number of years, including as President from 2015-2017.
Nikki commented on what she finds rewarding in her role. She said: “Being able to influence a whole health system for the benefit of islanders and their families/carers with respect to medicines used for mental ill health.”
We also asked Nikki what being credentialed by the College means to her. She said: “That I can be confident that how I'm operating is of a high standard, and assessed as such by relevant experts in my field. It's particularly valued nowadays given I'm a geographically and professionally isolated clinician working both directly with patients and looking to influence the Jersey system as a whole.”
Our credentialed members go through recredentialing every five years. Credentialed members are full members of the College and can carry the post-nominals MCMHP.
