Recognising expertise – congratulations to credentialled members

We are delighted to announce that two of our members have recently successfully demonstrated their expertise in mental health pharmacy:

  • Michael Slater, North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust.
Michael went through the credentialling process for the first time with CMHP earlier this month. He presented a detailed portfolio of his work, and was examined by viva. We are delighted that with this recognition of his expertise he will now become a full member of the College. For more details of our credentialling process please visit our credentialling web page.
  • Stephen Bleakley, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust.
Stephen, who is also a Fellow of CMHP, was re-credentialled after he presented evidence of his continuous CPD and reflective practice in mental health pharmacy.

The credentialling and recredentialling process gives assurance of the quality of the work being undertaken by our members. Stephen encourages his fellow pharmacists to go through credentialling/re-credentialling: "To me it is provides me with the confidence and reassurance that I continue to work at a clinically robust level. A level worthy of credentialing by my peers. It is a great addition to the CV, makes me more employable and sounds rightfully impressive when mentioned to clinicians. In the future it will be critical to ensuring you remain credible, up to date and responsive as we move to GPhC revalidation in 2017."

Our congratulations to Michael and Stephen for successfully demonstrating their expertise.
