We are excited to announce that bookings are now open for our 8th International Conference, which will be held at from 13-15 October at The Midland, Manchester.
Our theme this year is 'A Wider Perspective'. We will be looking at how mental health can be affected by outside influences such as physical health. Our conference is the flagship event in our calendar. We provide delegates with opportunities to explore clinical and strategic issues, to share good practice, to learn from each other and to enable networking.
Our conference programme is designed to inspire, educate and enthuse. We invite eminent speakers to deliver keynote sessions, and we offer a mix of plenary sessions, workshops, presentations and poster sessions. Through these, we aim to gain insight into the latest developments in mental health pharmacy, and to share good practice. In addition, we host a medical exhibition which can be visited during breaks and over lunch.
We welcome delegates from around the world. A highlight of the conference is always the Brett Hill Memorial Lecture. For this lecture we invite speakers with lived experience of mental health problems to share their insights with us. Topics can be varied, but this session is usually moving, informative and highly valued by delegates.
We are in a different venue for the conference this year. The Midland stands proud in the heart of Manchester's city centre, and over the course of its 100 year history, the hotel has played host to Kings, Queens, Presidents, Prime Ministers and rock stars.
