New President for the College of Mental Health Pharmacy Council

The College of Mental Health Pharmacy (CMHP) is delighted to announce that Roz Gittins is the new President of the CMHP.

Roz joined the CMHP Council five years ago and has served as Assistant Registrar, Registrar and Vice-President before becoming President at November’s Council meeting.

Roz is the Director of Pharmacy for Humankind, a national charity committed to reducing deprivation and exclusion and improving people’s well-being. Before moving to the third sector, she predominantly worked in mental health secondary care services, and has regularly locumed in community pharmacies. She is a credentialed CMHP member and a senior accredited RCGP trainer for their Drug and Alcohol Certificates.

Roz takes over from Ciara Ni Dhubhlaing, who continues to serve on the CMHP Council as Immediate Past President.

Commenting on her appointment as President, Roz said:

“I'm honoured to be taking up the role of CMHP President. We're working on lots of exciting developments so I'm looking forward to leading the College during this time. I would also like to say a massive thank you to Ciara Ni Dhubhlaing for her amazing leadership over the last couple of years.”

The College is also very happy to announce other changes in CMHP Officer roles:

  • Karen Shuker as Vice-President
  • Nicola Greenhalgh as Registrar
  • Petra Brown as Honorary Secretary
