Congratulations to Nikola Nikolic who is the most recently credentialed member of CMHP.
Nikola Nikolic, who is a Senior Clinical Pharmacist at HSE Dublin North City & County Mental Health Services, has successfully demonstrated his expertise in mental health pharmacy. He was put through his paces by our credentialing panel at his viva earlier this year, following the submission of a portfolio of his work.
CMHP Registrar Ciara Ni Dhubhlaing is delighted to confirm that Nikola has had his credentialed status confirmed. He is now a full member of the College and may use the post-nominal MCMHP.
Ciara said: "Nik demonstrated his passion for patient care as well as his in depth clinical knowledge and experience in the viva. It was a pleasure to witness his enthusiasm for the current and future development of Pharmacy in mental health care."
Nik reflected on his experience of credentialing saying:
I remember applying for my first job in mental health and coming across the CMHP. Happily clicking away through different parts of the website I was amazed by the list of the credentialed members. I thought: wow, this is my goal, to reach this level of peer recognition. Soon enough I realised how much I have to learn, and how much there is to be done for all the people who are suffering with various degrees of mental disorders. I learnt about the art of caring in mental health and not just about how to be a pharmacist working in mental health. Being credentialed now, is slightly different for me. I am glad, and excited, and feel established that I am recognised by my peers for the work I do, but actually for me it is more about the assurance this gives to all the persons I interact with on a daily basis. This means that I am committed to mental health, and that I promise to continue to work on improving the quality of life for all those persons with mental health issues.

The next credentialing vivas will be held on on 12 October 2017.
