Recredentialing success: Sarah Elliott and Raymond Gray

Congratulations to Sarah Elliott and Raymond Gray who have recently recredentialed with the College.

Sarah Elliott is Clinical Pharmacy Team Leader at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust

From the evidence she submitted for recredentialing, Sarah’s work on developing a more robust database for lithium monitoring especially stood out. This has led to better results in the POMH-UK lithium audit and improved patient safety in her organisation.

Sarah particularly values the time she spends with patients. Commenting on her work she says: “The most rewarding part of my role is talking to patients about their medicines, especially when I can be part of a person's story in finding, or being willing to stay on, the right medicine for them. A medicine that actually helps, and causes least adverse effects.”

Raymond Gray is Locality Lead Mental Health Pharmacist and Pharmacist Prescriber at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust

Raymond’s work with Community Mental Health Teams with respect to transfer of prescribing has resulted in improved patient care and was highlighted as impressive in his recredentialing feedback.

Raymond is also a great advocate for the College and encourages colleagues considering credentialing. When reflecting on what being credentialed means to him, Raymond said: “ I am honoured to be part of a network of mental health pharmacists who are highly skilled, passionate about mental health and very supportive.”

Our credentialed members are required to go through recredentialing every five years to demonstrate their continuing expertise in the field of mental health pharmacy.

Credentialed members are full members of the College and can carry the post-nominals MCMHP.
