2016 dates for Psych 1 and Psych 2 courses

Applications are now invited for the 2016 CMHP Education courses Psych 1 and Psych 2.

The course dates and venues are as follows:

Psych 1

• 19-20 February, Hilton London Gatwick
• 4-5 November, Ringwood Hall Hotel, Brimington, Chesterfield

Psych 2

• 6-7 May, Radisson Blu, 12 Holloway Circus, Queensway, Birmingham

Psych 1 is a two-day residential training course to introduce pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and other medicines management professionals to key mental health conditions.

The course, which has been running successfully for over 20 years, introduces mental health, focussing on the core clinical issues. It covers diagnosis and classification of the conditions, key concepts and terminology, national drivers and guidelines in the management of the conditions and options for treatment and management. Psych 2 is a two-day residential course held over two days, aimed at technicians and pharmacists with some limited clinical experience in Psychiatric Pharmacy Practice. Psych 2 is an extension to Psych 1 and as such will cover some of the more specialised areas of that aren’t covered on the Psych 1 course.
